The Brown (Salmo trutta) was introduced to Wyoming, and is native to Europe and Western Asia and is a close relative to the Atlantic Salmon. It's identifying marks are black spots, and reddish orange spots.

Brown Trout are one of the more popular trout species with a reputation as a more difficult fish to catch.

This hand made bracelet showcases the unique coloring of the brown trout which are frequently dark to golden brown along their backs, yellowish sides with dark brown/black spots as well as vibrant red and orange spots, all with pale halos around them. Their bellies can range from a light pale yellow to a dark gold and even orange depending.

Record: The record Brown caught in Wyoming was 25 lbs., 13 oz., 34 1/4 inches long, caught at Anvil Draw, Flaming Gorge Reservoir in 1982.
